“Nation State” game - a roleplay about international politics.
What’s great in Virtual Worlds is that consequences are limited to virtual contexts.
Many talk about the trendy “second life” (my computer is just too slow, and anyway I want to profit from real life), a nice graphically game apparently boring (from what blogs I read tells)… and more a money-making / marketing buzz.
If you ever thought about managing your own country, if you ever believed you would be a better minister than the currently ones in your real world - maybe Nation State game is for you (nothing to download, it’s free & easy to join and play). Bonheur National / Intérieur Brut… brainstorming sur les critères
Comme pertinemment statué dans les commentaires du post concernant le Bonheur National Brut :
- on devrait plutôt parler de Bonheur Intérieur Brut (Rebecca)
- le bonheur est différemment perçu selon les cultures (Téméraire)
Bref, définir un objectif pareil, ça va être du sport. Le but de ce billet est un brainstorming ; lancez le plus d’idées sur les indicateurs qui pourraient être pertinents quant à la définition du bien-être au sein d’un pays. La semaine prochaine, on tentera d’y voir plus clair.
Le Bien-être peut se traduire via le mélange des critères suivants (liste qui peut être complétée) : santé physique & mentale, force du tissu social.

Global Warming Babel,… analysis 1.
Global Warming is another feature of our globalized world.
As previously stated (Global warming, I’ll be watching you), I’ll try to keep my eyes open regarding this event of mass-destruction. Babel, here we go !
AGAINST taking drastic measures re this event : USA, China and Saudi Arabia.
FOR taking drastic measures : EU, India (sorry for not naming the rest of the world, but your opinion will just depend on USAID or other subsidies - you’ll spouse the opinion of the money giver (I know this is harsh, but it is most probable)).

Amendes à Téhéran… responsabilité des médias français ?
Journal de 20 heures sur France2, 17 secondes sur une évolution (merci d’éviter les commentaires : “tous des extrémistes”, “je vous l’avais bien dit”, “ça va nous péter à la gueule”) d’un article (Iraniens, tous des extrémistes ?) posté suite à un reportage sur TF1 fin février.
Les femmes aux foulards colorés qui laissaient flotter quelques cheveux et découvrir leurs mains, recevraient maintenant des amendes de la part de cette “police de la vertu”. Evolution qui me laisse dubidatif : est-ce que cette émission sur TF1 aurait eu une incidence sur cette évolution ?
Si oui, cela démontrerait que les médias ont une responsabilité pas uniquement limitée à leurs populations locales, à laquelles leurs contenus sont généralement destinés. Ce 4ème pouvoir local, émettant vers sa population locale (TF1, ce n’est pas la BBC, ni CNN ou Al-jazeera), quelque peu indifférente à la situation iranienne (c’est loin), aurait une influence internationale… Read the rest of this entry »
